The State Board of Technical Education, Bihar is a governing body for polytechnic institutions in the state of Bihar, India. The board was constituted under the order number 75/DIR dated 31st May 1955 of the Government of Bihar under the Department of Science and Technology, Government of Bihar.
It is constituted under the Department of Science and Technology, Government of Bihar for the purpose of examination and certification of six semester or three year diploma courses in polytechnic institutions.
All 39 government polytechnics and 32 private institutes of Bihar offering diploma courses in engineering are affiliated to the board.
